If Christians make abortion illegal, what have we really done?

If Christians make abortion illegal, what have we really done?  The article starts off, The Ohio Senate on Wednesday approved controversial legislation banning abortion after a fetal heartbeat is detected.  That was almost four years ago. Now, more states have followed them. The Supreme Court, according to leaked documents, is about to overturn Roe v Wade. And my question is becoming more relevant and more critical every day.

How come so many Christians don't really know God?

How come Christians don’t know God?

How come Christians don’t know God? That’s not a stupid question. In fact, it a very important question with a very disturbing answer. It’s all too easy for Christians to now know God! The headline shocked me. 51% of Churchgoers Don’t Know of the Great Commission, according to a Barna survey. I also found it very disappointing. Depressing even.

No wonder the path Jesus tells us about is so narrow. Even many of those who think they’re on it actually aren’t on it at all! They may not even be close!

Chinese citizens have the freedom of religious belief

Citizens have freedom of religious belief?

Citizens have freedom of religious belief.  That’s the English translation of something from China’s Religious Affairs Regulations.  But is it really true?

Remember, China is a Communist country.  And an officially atheist one as well.  We must be forgiven if we doubt those fine-sounding words.  Especially after reading part 1 of this series.

Remember, Article 1 of these regulations included the text, “increase the level of legalification in work on religion” as one of the stated goals for putting them into law.  How does that even make sense?

What is the conservative Christian view of DACA?  DACA is the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.  I don’t mean conservative Christians as a group.  I mean each and every individual who considers themselves Christian, especially the conservatives.  What is your stance?  And, how do you feel about the leaders you support – both politically and within your church organization?

Where are the peacemakers? Who will speak for me?

Where are the peacemakers?

Jesus said, Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.  But where are the peacemakers?  In Isaiah, God asked who He should send, and one person said, Here I am! Send me!  Where is that person today?  Is there really no one willing to be God’s messenger today?  Are there really no sons of God left?  It appears that the answer to both is a resounding NO!  Jesus can ask, who will speak for me.  But no one’s answering.  Like an ostrich with its head in the sand, we can’t hear.
