Government and religion together is what happens in a theocracy. Not in countries like the U.S. But there’s so much mixing of the two now.

Here’s a look at situations where the American government, whether Democrat or Republican, tries to mix the two. Whether intentional or unintended consequences come up, it’s not good.

When will Christians learn being raised up by God isn’t always good?

We have yet another Evangelical Republican claiming that their people are being raised up by God. Of course, they feel this is a good thing. The problem is, the Bible shows many instances where people are raised up by God to teach His people a lesson. When will Christians learn the reality of their claims that God is “on their side”? The reality is that God is on God’s side.

I’ve started several times to write something like this. But it’s never gotten very far. However, with things around the world deteriorating, maybe it’s time to try again?
