How does Hosea apply to an unrepentant world today? First, do you know who Hosea is? He’s an Old Testament prophet, sent by God to give a warning to His people. Sadly, things haven’t changed all that much. The message is all too relevant, even here in the year 2023. Almost 2,800 years later.
Do judging Christians make you want to avoid church? There’s a time for Christians to judge. Judge each other, that is. Even a way. And guess what? When it’s not right, it can be extremely not right.
I just read this headline about lots of people changing religions. They want something different from what they have. But what’s really behind it? Can people get a new God by switching religions?
How many souls will be saved by a mifepristone ban? Wait. Souls? Isn’t the question how many lives will be saved? Uh, no, I’m really asking how many souls will be saved. After all, isn’t that important to Christians?
Four years ago, I wrote Christians and abortion: Will Christians abandon God over abortion? The impetus for it was Disney, the state of Georgia, and proposed abortion legislation. Well, things have changed dramatically since then. Therefore, my new question for this update is Will abortion drive people away from Christianity?
Do entitled Christians make you want to avoid church? People who say, I’m Christian so I can do what I want. I’ve been saved. I’m forgiven. No matter what I do.
Why do rich people give their money away? Is it because Jesus said, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor …”? It seems to be happening a lot lately. Is Jesus the reason? Or is there something else behind it?
Do Christian Nationalists know what Jesus taught? They probably do. At least they can probably pull out some words here and there to support their beliefs. Maybe the real question is, do Christian nationalists understand what Jesus taught? In that case, I have to say the answer is a resounding “No!”
My body my choice! It feels like it’s being used for lots of things these days. Not getting vaccinated. And by extension, not vaccinating kids. Getting an abortion. And by extension, in a similar manner, not having kids. Of course, there are arguments made on both sides of both issues. We’ll look at both. However, I want to add another dimension. Christianity. Why? Because it makes things much more clear. And, by extension, much more volatile.
I used to get angry over abortion. Very much so. Now, I feel sad. Very sad. To the point of crying sad. We’re dooming souls to Hell. And that’s not what we should be about. Roe is dead. Now, please, can we Christians turn back to God and to saving souls?
