The god of temptation seems to be all powerful and everywhere. But that’s just an illusion. He is neither. Furthermore – he’s not very original either. He is, however, stronger than us – if we choose to act alone.
1Co 10:13 No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
Up to now, I’ve been writing about the kinds of things that will appear in each section. Because of the nature of temptation, it doesn’t seem to be needed here. The list is long. Too long. But one thing to know is that it’s anything that takes us away from God.
The other important things to remember are the passage above – and the one that immediately follows.
Test the Spirits
1Jn 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can recognize the Spirit of God: Every spirit that acknowledges that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, 3 but every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you have heard is coming and even now is already in the world.
1Jn 4:4 You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world and therefore speak from the viewpoint of the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God, and whoever knows God listens to us; but whoever is not from God does not listen to us. This is how we recognize the Spirit of truth and the spirit of falsehood.
We, alone, cannot resist. But we don’t need to be alone. And we don’t need to fail.
Mt 19:23 Then Jesus said to his disciples, “I tell you the truth, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven. 24 Again I tell you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
Mt 19:25 When the disciples heard this, they were greatly astonished and asked, “Who then can be saved?”
Mt 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Are There More R Rated Movies Being Made? It sure seems like it. There are so many commercials and ads for R Rated movies lately. At first, I thought it was because more people are going to see them. I mean, who would make movies that weren’t going to make a lot of money. So I started looking into it. What I found surprised me.
